Religious Education (RE)

Religious Studies at Rosebank

The aim of the Religious Education Curriculum at Rosebank is to provide knowledge about the different faiths in our community and encourage positive discussion about their values, significant figures and key events that are celebrated.  Please click on the link below for further information about our RE curriculum progression for all year groups.

Parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE). You do not need to give a reason for making this request.

At Rosebank, RE is taught in an inclusive and respectful way. Children learn about and from a range of religions and worldviews, helping them to understand different beliefs, traditions and perspectives within our diverse community and wider world.

If you are considering withdrawing your child from all or part of RE, we encourage you to speak with the Headteacher first. This gives us an opportunity to explain what is taught and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

If you decide to withdraw your child, please make your request to the Headteacher. Appropriate arrangements will then be discussed with you.
